Wimbledon Finals Tickets Hit Record Prices for 2025
Wimbledon has announced a significant price increase for tickets to the 2025 singles finals, breaking the £300 mark for the first time. The All England Club aims to capitalize on unprecedented interest in the tournament, with the most expensive tickets now set at £315—£40 more than this year.
The Times reports that approximately £8 million in revenue is expected from the final weekend on Centre Court. This price hike continues a trend of rising costs, as ticket prices have surged from £63 at the turn of the century to £210 in 2018. Notably, applications for the public ballot have reached record levels for the third consecutive year.
While ticket prices are climbing, ground passes will remain affordable at £30 for the first eight days. However, standard seats for the opening day have also crossed the £100 threshold, reaching £105. In a change of policy, ticket prices for the men’s and women’s singles finals are now equal after previously being higher for the men’s finals.
Additionally, plans to expand the All England Club into the nearby Wimbledon Park Golf Club have faced opposition from local residents, with a planning hearing scheduled for Friday.
